About our Fragrance Oils
This is fragrance the way you've always wanted to experience it! Our master perfumer has formulated a world of 100% pure fragrance oils for soapmaking, candlemaking and toiletry making. You'll find copies of classics, original designs, scents inspired by nature and fun innovative blends. We even have "smoke and odor eliminator" fragrance oils for candlemaking designed to mask odors and pet smells. Browse our collection of over 200 scents to find your favorite!
Our fragrance oils for soapmaking are formulated for cold process soap, using soy wax at 6%. In our kitchens, we use the cold process method to test each fragrance in olive oil, palm oil, castor oil, coconut oil, soy oil and shea butter. You may want to do a 1 lb test batch yourself, using .3 oz to 1 oz of oil until you get it just right. Our fragrance oils for soapmaking have been thoroughly tested, and never cause seizing. We recommend soaping them between 100 and 115 degrees.
Using our fragrance oils for candlemaking creates rich, quality candles that transform a room into a warm, welcoming atmosphere. If you're using our fragrance oils for candlemaking, we suggest testing first with 100 grams of soy wax to get the wicking and scent load just right. Contrary to what many people think, fragrance oils shouldn't be used for aromatherapy. Friendly Fumes fragrance oils are soothing and mood-changing in their own right, but if you're looking for oils with intrinsic medicinal qualities, check out our essential oils instead.
Each of our fragrance oils for candlemaking, fragrance oils for soapmaking and toiletry scents are tested in our own bath and body products, so we guarantee their purity. However, once they leave our hands we can no longer vouch for that, so we can't accept refunds, and we can't guarantee any toiletry products you make with them. Also, let us know if you'd prefer amber glass bottles instead of clear plastic ones. We'll be happy to help!
We ship UPS ground at $6.95 flat rate. Your order will ship in 2 to 3 days. (Occasionally, a very large order exceeds the flat rate and takes a little longer to ship. If that happens, you'll get an additional PayPal invoice to cover the extra shipping, and your order will go out after we receive payment.)
