Whether you use our essential oils for soapmaking, candlemaking, or toiletry making, you can be confident that you're using the highest-quality essential oils available today. Friendly Fumes sells only the best, and we have thoroughly and personally tested all 13 of our pure essential oils in our soy candles, handmade soy soaps, shower gels, and lotions.
If you use our essential oils for soapmaking, your finished soaps will benefit you through the infusion of natural therapeutic molecular properties that your body will absorb through the skin and through inhalation. We recommend testing our essential oils in a 1 lb batch of soap before committing to a larger amount just to be sure you have the ideal oil proportions. Every oil is different, and personal preferences vary as well, but in our experience, the right measurement is usually between .3 oz. and 1 oz.
For candle making, we suggest using soy wax with our essential oils, especially if your purpose is aromatherapy. Friendly Fumes essential oils can be added to paraffin, but it creates more soot, which can interfere with the medicinal properties of the oil. We suggest testing our essential oils for candlemaking with 100 grams of soy wax to balance the wicking and scent load. Candlemaking with Friendly Fumes essential oils is very rewarding, as you can create handcrafted candles that are not only beautiful to look at, but turn your home into a personal luxury spa as the therapeutic fragrances fill the air with aromatherapy.
Friendly Fumes essential oils are powerfully concentrated, so you won't need to use much to receive the benefits. Always use caution when working with essential oils. In their concentrated form, they are very powerful and should not come in contact with your skin. However, once diluted to safe levels in your homemade products, our essential oils are safe, healing, and beneficial.
